Iran and Kazakhstan – The beginning of a new season of exhibition cooperation

Exhibition News – Tehran, July 14, 2025 – In a major step towards developing economic and trade relations between Iran and Kazakhstan, an exhibition cooperation agreement was signed between Iran and Kazakhstan. This historic agreement has opened a new chapter in the exhibition relations between the two countries and facilitated the active presence of businesses in each other’s markets.

This important document was signed by Kambiz Motamedvaziri , a member of the board of directors of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Joint Stock Company, and  Aldazharov Aytmukhmad Turarbekuli , CEO of the Kazakhstan Trade Policy Development Center, on the sidelines of a joint meeting of the two countries on technical and economic cooperation. This cooperation is aimed at strengthening Iran’s economic ties with members of the Eurasian Economic Union, and in particular, developing relations with this country.

Major axes of exhibition cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan

Based on this memorandum of understanding, the two parties committed to expanding their joint cooperation in the following areas:

1. Joint planning and implementation of international exhibitions:  Coordination to hold exhibition events with greater quality and impact.

2. Exchange of economic delegations:  Facilitating travel and communication of trade and specialized delegations between the two countries to identify opportunities.

3. Special support for the presence of companies:  Operational and informational support for Iranian and Kazakh economic enterprises for effective presence in exhibitions held on each other’s territory. This   will directly lead to facilitating the construction of booths and the active presence of companies .

4. Facilitating business communication and information:  Creating efficient channels for exchanging market information, investment opportunities, and business needs.

This memorandum of understanding will particularly pave the way for Iranian and Kazakh companies and economic enterprises to participate in exhibitions in both countries . It is expected that with the implementation of this agreement, we will witness an increase in the quantity and quality of exhibitors, the diversity of products and services offered, and ultimately, the conclusion of new trade agreements and the development of trade exchanges between the two countries. This   will increase the demand for specialized exhibition stand construction and design services in both countries.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding demonstrates the serious determination of the two countries to use the potential of exhibitions as a driving force for trade and the introduction of economic capabilities. Exhibition cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan can play an important role in achieving larger economic goals in the Eurasian region and serve as a model for developing similar relations with other member states of this union. The Iranian exhibition and stand-building industry is ready to take advantage of this new opportunity to provide a worthy host for Kazakh companies and provide a professional atmosphere for presenting Iranian products and services at Kazakh exhibitions.
