Exhibition News – Tehran – On the sidelines of the 7th Iran Export Capabilities Exhibition (Iran Expo 2025), Iran’s active exhibition diplomacy with three countries – Russia, Serbia, and Spain – gained significant momentum. Sedif Beikzadeh, CEO of Iran International Exhibitions Joint Stock Company, emphasized the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of international exhibitions in separate meetings with senior exhibition officials of these countries.

Russia: Implementing agreements and facilitating the presence of companies
In a meeting with Sergey Selivanov , Deputy General Director of the Moscow Expo Center, the two sides focused on the need to operationalize the agreements of recent months and facilitate the widespread presence of Iranian and Russian companies in the exhibitions of the two countries. Bekzadeh announced at the meeting: “Cooperation with Russia is not limited to exhibition exchanges; we seek to create sustainable trade corridors and strengthen participation in international projects.”
Selivanov, referring to the economic capacities of the two countries, called for increased technology exchange and the active presence of Iranian start-ups in specialized events in Moscow.
Serbia: Improving relations with Belgrade through economic diplomacy
The meeting with Milan Cukic , Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, and with the presence of Iran’s Trade Counselor in Serbia, was an opportunity to explore ways to develop exhibition cooperation. Beykzadeh said in the meeting: “Serbia is Iran’s gateway to the Balkan and Eastern European markets. We are ready to strengthen the regional value chain by holding joint exhibitions.”
Cukic, welcoming Iran’s proposals, emphasized the importance of exhibitions in introducing investment opportunities between the two countries and announced: “Belgrade seeks to become Iran’s trade hub in the region.”
Spain: Business diversification centered on Barcelona
In a conversation with Gonzalez Barragan , the representative of the Barcelona International Fair in the Middle East, the two sides emphasized the need to diversify trade relations and use the history of past cooperation. Referring to the successful presence of Spanish companies in Iranian industrial exhibitions, Beikzadeh stated: “The capacities of Iranian knowledge-based companies to participate in Barcelona exhibitions are unparalleled. We want to accept trade delegations from the two countries and develop joint infrastructure.”
Barragan, welcoming these proposals, called for the establishment of a “joint exhibition committee” to accelerate cooperation.
