Izmir Stone Exhibition; A showcase of global capabilities

The Izmir International Stone Exhibition, hosting companies and visitors from dozens of countries, is known as one of the most prestigious specialized events in the world. Iran has also  allocated a significant share of the exhibition space with the establishment of a national pavilion and the presence of leading companies in the field of natural stone extraction and processing.

The products presented in the Iranian pavilion  included a variety of high-quality marble, travertine, granite and other processed stones, reflecting  the country’s technical and industrial capabilities  in the decorative and mineral stone value chain. This presence was not only an opportunity to attract the attention of international buyers, but also provided the opportunity to compete with leading global brands.

Challenges and opportunities ahead

Although Iran’s stone industry is in a unique position in terms of the diversity of raw materials and processing technologies, challenges such as international transportation restrictions, sanctions, and competition with major global producers  such as China and India were part of Beikzadeh’s discussions with industry activists. However, emphasis on  improving packaging quality, targeted marketing , and utilizing exhibition capacity to remove obstacles were considered as key solutions.
