Exhibition News – Tehran –During his visit to the seventh Iran Expo 2025, First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref described the event as “an unparalleled bridge to showcase Iran’s technological and knowledge-based achievements” to the world and called on the private sector to take great strides in developing exports and strengthening economic diplomacy by taking advantage of new business opportunities.
Aref’s call to economic activists: Eurasia and Africa, pristine markets await you
Referring to the vast potential of the markets of the Eurasian region and the African continent, Aref emphasized to the businessmen and producers present at the exhibition: “Today, economic integration with the Eurasian Union member states and emerging African economies is not only an opportunity to boost non-oil exports, but also a strategic tool for realizing a resistance economy and overcoming sanctions.”
He added: “Iran, with its active membership in regional pacts and free trade agreements , seeks to create secure and sustainable trade corridors. We must use this historic window to conclude long-term contracts and diversify export destinations.”
Emphasis on regional cooperation and Iran’s pivotal role
Referring to Iran’s position in Eurasia and its proximity to the high-potential markets of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia, the First Vice President noted: “The Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other regional pacts are not just tools for exchanging goods, but also a shield for strengthening security and stability in the region. We are ready to design a new model of win-win cooperation with our neighbors and international partners.”
Iran Expo; A showcase of Iran’s economic transformation
Aref continued by visiting the technology, advanced industries, and knowledge-based products pavilions, calling Iran Expo 2025 “a showcase of the leap in quality and innovation in Iranian products,” and said: “This exhibition proves that Iran does not rely solely on oil resources. Today, knowledge-based companies and startups are the main drivers of the economy, and the message of this transformation must be conveyed to the world.”
Conclusion: Iran’s economy on the path to global convergence
Experts believe that the Iranian authorities’ emphasis on developing relations with Eurasia and Africa indicates a shift in Iran’s trade strategy toward diversification and reducing dependence on traditional markets. Observers say that the strong presence of foreign companies at Iran Expo and Iran’s announcement of readiness for technological cooperation could usher in a new chapter in the boom in production and employment.
The slogan of Iran Expo 2025: “From Capability to Cooperation; Iran at the Heart of Global Trade,” has become more alive today with the presence of economic decision-makers and senior diplomats.
